What You Learn in Wingfoil Lessons

Wingfoil progression is sequential. Each skill builds on the previous one, so your instructor only moves forward when the current step is solid.

01

Wing handling

Positioning, powering, and angle control. You practice on the beach first to build muscle memory in a stable environment.

02

Board balance

Standing on the foil board, finding your stance, and balancing while the wing generates pull. The flat lagoon lets you focus on technique without fighting chop.

03

Getting on foil

Wing-assisted starts and first sustained flights. Flat water with no chop makes takeoffs more consistent, and the sandy lagoon bottom means softer crashes when you fall.

04

Riding and turning

Sustained foiling, tacking, and jibing. Once you stay on foil, you learn to change direction and ride back to where you started.

Wingfoil Lessons for Every Level

Beginners

First time on foil

First time on a foil board. We start on the beach with wing control, then move to board balance in waist-deep lagoon water.

Intermediate

First flights and sustained foiling

Wing handling is solid, foil time is still short. Sessions focus on consistent takeoffs, weight distribution, and extending your ride time.

Advanced

Transitions, speed, and jumps

Foiling is consistent. We work on tacking, jibing, speed runs, and jumps. Dakhla's flat lagoon is ideal for drilling these.
