Kitesurf, Wingfoil & Surf Lessons
Three disciplines taught by IKO and ISA-certified instructors. Private, semi-private, and group sessions available at both locations. Choose your discipline below or read on to find out which one suits you.

Kitesurf Lessons
IKO-certified instruction for all levels. Private, semi-private, and group formats. Progress is tracked and logged after every session.

Surf Lessons
ISA-certified instructors with local knowledge. Sessions run at breaks matched to your current level. Beginner to advanced.

Wingfoil Lessons
IWO-certified instruction for all levels. Private and group formats. Most riders reach their first flights within three to five sessions.
The three disciplines
Each discipline has its own mechanics, learning curve, and conditions. Here is what each one actually involves.
Kitesurf
Kitesurf uses a controllable kite to harness the wind and pull you across the water on a board. You steer the kite to manage your speed and direction.
Learning happens in two phases: kite handling on land, then water entry and board recovery. Most riders reach independent riding in 10 to 15 hours of structured instruction.
Requires steady wind, 15 to 25 knots. Flat water environments like Dakhla's lagoon accelerate progression significantly compared to open ocean spots.
Surf
Surfing uses breaking waves as your energy source. No wind, no motor, nothing beyond a board. You can catch your first wave on day one.
Early progression moves quickly with good coaching. A quality lesson teaches ocean reading and positioning, not just how to stand up.
No wind required. Works in any ocean environment with a breaking swell, making it the most weather-flexible discipline in the programme.
Wingfoil
Wingfoiling combines a handheld inflatable wing with a hydrofoil board that lifts you off the water surface. No lines, compact setup, silent ride.
The foil takes a few sessions to get comfortable with, but once you are flying, progression is fast. Riders with a kitesurf or windsurf background typically reach their first flights in two to three sessions.
Requires wind similar to kitesurf, around 12 to 20 knots. Flat water makes the early sessions significantly easier.
Where We Teach
Lessons run at two locations on Morocco's Atlantic coast. Each has different conditions suited to different disciplines and experience levels.

Dakhla
Flat-water lagoon, 300+ wind days per year
The lagoon at Dakhla is Morocco's most consistent watersports venue. Flat water, steady NE trade winds, and no crowds. Ideal for learning kitesurf and wingfoil at any level. Surf sessions run at ocean-facing breaks nearby. Available year-round.

Essaouira
Consistent Alizé winds, town-based spot
Essaouira's Alizé trade winds blow consistently, peaking June to September. Beach breaks suit all surf levels, from first whitewater sessions to more challenging setups. Kitesurf and wingfoil run on the main beach. Town setting with good infrastructure and easy access from Marrakech.
