IKO Kitesurf Lessons in Morocco

Morocco's Atlantic coast runs consistent wind across two distinct environments: the flat lagoon at Dakhla and the open ocean at Essaouira. Bluboarding runs IKO-certified kitesurf lessons at both, year-round.

Three Formats, One IKO Curriculum

Private Kitesurf Lesson

One instructor, one kite, one plan built around you. Your coach decides kite size, when to progress, and when to repeat. No shared time.

Semi-Private Kitesurf Lesson

Two students, separate kite setups, same IKO progression path. Your instructor rotates corrections between riders. Everyone flies at the same time.

Group Kitesurf Lesson

Three to four students, each pair sharing one kite setup. While your partner flies, you watch from the ground and hear every correction the instructor gives. You spot patterns before your own turn.

What a Session Includes

Each lesson runs for two hours of active coaching. Sessions are scheduled around wind. We set the time each morning based on forecast and conditions, not a fixed clock slot. Kite, bar, board, harness, wetsuit, helmet, and impact vest are all provided. Bring swimwear, a towel, high-SPF sunscreen, a water bottle, and sunglasses with a strap.

A Kitesurf Session, Step by Step

We run the session. Your job is to focus on the skill in front of you.

Step ONE

Briefing

We assess the wind, confirm which IKO stage you are working on, and run through the safety systems before anyone enters the water.

Step TWO

On the Water

You execute the skill from the briefing. We monitor your kite position and body angle from the water and call corrections throughout.

Step THREE

Debrief

We walk through what clicked, where your technique broke down, and what the next session will target. The IKO progression log is updated.

The IKO Standard

IKO sets the teaching curriculum and certification standards used by kitesurf schools worldwide. Every skill must meet a defined threshold before progression. We log your progress after each session. If you continue at any IKO school globally, they pick up exactly where we left off.
