Wingfoil Lessons in Morocco

Wingfoil combines a handheld inflatable wing with a hydrofoil board. The flat lagoon at Dakhla and the Atlantic winds at Essaouira make Morocco one of the best places to learn. Bluboarding runs wingfoil lessons at both. All levels, no experience required.

Three Formats, One Curriculum

Private Wingfoil Lesson

One instructor, one rider, full water time. Your coach adjusts wing size, board volume, and foil height as you progress. No rotation, no waiting.

Semi-Private Wingfoil Lesson

Two students, each with their own wing and board. Your instructor coaches on the water and rotates feedback between riders.

Group Wingfoil Lesson

Three to four students rotating on the water with one instructor. Between turns, you watch real attempts and hear live corrections.

What a Wingfoil Session Includes

Sessions run for two hours of hands-on instruction, timed each morning around the day's forecast. Your instructor selects the wing size based on wind strength and your weight. Wing, foil board, foil, harness, wetsuit, helmet, and impact vest are all provided. Bring swimwear, a towel, high-SPF sunscreen, a water bottle, and sunglasses with a strap.

A Wingfoil Session, Start to Finish

The structure is the same at every level. What changes is the skill being worked on.

Step ONE

Briefing

We check in on where you left off and what we are targeting today. We match the wing size to the wind and pick the right board volume for your weight and level.

Step TWO

On the Water

You practice the skill from the briefing: stance, wing angle, board balance, or foil lift. We correct in the water as you go. If it clicks early, we build on it. If it does not, we stay on it.

Step THREE

Debrief

We talk through what improved, what still needs repetition, and what the next session will focus on.

Wingfoil Progression: What Each Level Looks Like

Beginner

First wing to first foil flight

Wing handling, prone foiling, and board starts. Most riders achieve their first short foil flights within 6 to 8 hours of lessons.

Intermediate

Sustained flight and jibes

Consistent foil flight, upwind riding, basic jibes, and improved balance across varying wind conditions.

Advanced

Jumps, pumping, and tacks

Sessions cover jumps, foil pumping, and tacks. We coach from shore and from the water, reviewing technique after each run.

Skill Before Speed

Every skill in wingfoil has a prerequisite. Wing control comes before board balance. Board balance comes before first flight. Transitions come after you can hold altitude consistently. Our instructors do not move on until the current step is solid. Equipment is matched to you at the start of every session based on the day's wind and your current level.
